This bike was purchased
by the club with the view to being a possible ABR gate prize for 2009,
but, as will be announced in due course, another bike has been made
available for the ABR. The bike is a 1955 B 31 (eng.No. BB31 27357 ) swing arm model with the full width Arial type front hubs that has been partially restored and we were told was a runner. The bike is available to be purchased by any fully financial member of the club for the fixed price of $3,500. If more than one member wishes to buy the bike then the name of the member to purchase the bike will be decided by a draw by the club at the AGM on the 6th August 2008. Any member wishing to purchase the bike will need to register their intention to the secretary (Roy Armstrong) before the AGM and be in a position to pay the club the purchase price within 7 days and pick up the bike from the Melbourne metro area. If payment is not received within the required timeframe another member may be offered the bike. The bike will be at the July General Meeting for inspection or if unable to view the bike Roy Armstrong will be able to e-mail some photos to you. |
