Formed in the 1973, the aim of the association is to allow people with a common interest in BSA motorcycles to share activities, such as monthly meetings, rides, social outings, rallies, factory dispatch records, etc, in order to maximize the pleasure of BSA ownership. A regular magazine containing details of events & articles of interest is distributed to all financial members. Windcheaters, T-shirts and badges are available.
Major events in the year include Presidents Day, a display of members BSA’s and the highly successful All British Rally®, run since 1977. The Association is Vicroads approved for Club Permit Scheme participation. “The first formal meeting was held on February 7th, 1973 (1),since then we have been meeting on the first Wednesday of every month”.
Beezervic Email Account
The Association operates Beezervic Email Account that has been created so that financial members of the BSA Motorcycle Owners Association Inc are informed of club events,updated with club-related information and general matters pertaining to motorcycling. Vehicle is safe to use on a highway and complies with any relevant safety standards notified by VicRoads.
Western District:
An official sub-branch operates in Hamilton to cater for the Western district of the Victoria.
Fees:
- Membership: @ $50 per year.
QUALIFICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP
- A person who is interested in B.S.A.s is eligible to become a Member of the Association.
- A Member is eligible to stand for any one position on the Committee.
- Family membership is available to members of the same family and tomembers and their companions who share an interest in B.S.A.s.
- Of a family membership, one person is eligible to stand for any committee position.
- Annual subscription for a family membership is one and one quarter of the Membership per financial year.
- Annual subscription for a family membership where one party is a life member shall be one quarter of the Membership per financial year.
- Corporate membership is available to organisations or individuals who pay the requisite annual sponsorship fee. The provisions of the rules relating to members shall also apply to corporate members in all respects, except where stated, including one vote per corporate membership and one person of a corporate membership, who has an interest in B.S.A.s, is eligible to stand for any committee position. The Committee will determine the annual sponsorship fee, as required from time to time, and it shall be greater than the annual subscription fee for members.
